On top of this you have the possibility of taking a day trip to the characteristic nearby small towns or visiting the City of Karlstad, with everything a city has to offer, both culturally and for entertainment and shopping.


In wintertime, Värmland offers both downhill and cross-country skiing and snowboarding. You can also book snowmobile tours and enchanting husky tours.

In summertime you can engage in all manner of outdoor pursuits ranging from swimming, boating or fishing in the lakes and rivers to biking, hiking or taking a safari tour to catch the famed Swedish Moose in its natural forest habitat.
